A GIRL LIKE HER by Cami Kates

Naomi Wells, young, beautiful and talented, is recovering from her gender confirmation surgery—medically and financially—in the small city of Crestview, not exactly known for liberal viewpoints. But she has a strong, if not small support system, and is grateful for the kind female doctor assisting with her recovery. But when she’s informed her doctor is out sick, and a tall, dark haired, and incredibly handsome man enters the room instead, Naomi’s about to be in for more than a simple checkup.

It’s Luke Crawford’s first week as a newly minted MD when he’s informed he has to take on the patients of a colleague who’s out sick. First on the roster is a transgender patient that needs help with dilation, something Luke knows next to nothing about, his confusion only heightened when he finds a beautiful girl in the room he wouldn’t have guessed to be trans, and one he’s quickly tempted to be more than a doctor to.

As Luke and Naomi’s steamy romance becomes more serious, they’ll have to push back against those who don’t want them to be together, but more importantly, they’ll have to fight their own beliefs about themselves and their relationship with one another.
